Mara River

The Masai Mara is roughly 1275 square miles, vast and the Mara river runs thru it.  This afternoon we set out to see the river and its inhabitants, we encountered Hippos, Crocodiles , Great Blue herron, and storks.

On our journey back to camp a few more sightings, giraffe, leaping impala, vulture, a herd of elephants, juvenile hardebeast, tawny eagle and a spotted hyena.

Tomorrow morning , one more game drive here followed by a bush plane to Nairobi and a flight to Arusha, Tanzania then off to the serengeti and ngorongoro crater.
